T.W. Shannon has been named the chairman of a national Republican committee that has intentions to bring more diversity to the GOP candidates.
The announcement was made Wednesday that Shannon will be the chair of the Future Majority Project. His impressive resume includes being the youngest and first African-American speaker of the OK House of Representatives when he was elected speaker in 2013. After an unsuccessful run for U.S. Senate, Mr. Shannon now works for a Tulsa-based consulting firm.
